Working with Keyboard Shortcuts¶
Keyboard shortcuts let you move through ChannelX without reaching for the mouse, open and resolve conversations, toggle the sidebar, jump to settings, and more. For a busy agent, the saved seconds add up fast across a shift.
Viewing the shortcut list¶
To see every shortcut available in your build, press Cmd+/ on macOS or Ctrl+/ on Windows and Linux. You can also open Keyboard Shortcuts from your Profile Settings menu. The list shown there always reflects what your version of ChannelX supports, so it is the authoritative reference.
Commonly used shortcuts¶
The shortcuts below cover the actions agents reach for most. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl wherever Cmd is shown.
Conversation actions¶
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Resolve or reopen the conversation | Cmd+Alt+E |
| Mark as pending | Cmd+Alt+P |
| Snooze the conversation | Cmd+Alt+A |
| Toggle the right sidebar / conversation details | Cmd+Alt+O |
| Switch between Reply and Private Note | Cmd+Alt+Enter |
| Send your reply | Cmd+Enter |
Navigation¶
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Open the command bar | Cmd+K |
| Show the keyboard shortcuts panel | Cmd+/ |
| Move to the next conversation | J |
| Move to the previous conversation | K |
Note
The exact keys can differ slightly between ChannelX versions and operating systems. When in doubt, open the in-app shortcuts panel with Cmd+/, it lists precisely what's wired up in your environment.
Common questions¶
Why doesn't a shortcut work while I'm typing? Single-key shortcuts like J and K only fire when the reply editor isn't focused, otherwise they would type the letter instead. Click outside the editor (or resolve the message first) and they'll respond.
Can I customise the shortcuts? The set is built in rather than user-configurable. The fastest path to fluency is to keep the shortcuts panel open beside you for your first few shifts until the muscle memory sticks.
